Cancer is a systemic disease comprising multiple components like tumor cells, hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic stromal cells (NHSCs).
NHSCs constituted by mesenchymal stem cells, pericytes, fibroblsts, adipocytes vascular and lymphatic endothelial cells.
NHSCs within tumor microenvironment (TME) play a crucial role in cancer progression and metastasis.
Immunosuppressive role of NHSCs within TME are described in this review which may help in crafting effective cancer management.
