Anterior cerebral artery infarction may present initially as isolated axial weakness On examination, hypotonia of paravertebral muscles is found. Patients had similar confined regions of restricted MRI diffusion. MRI lesions correspond with truncal representation in the cortical motor strip. Infarcts may progress to involve the entire anterior cerebral artery territory.
