Longitudinal study of effective connectivity in children. Effective connectivity development differs in readers with and without dyslexia. Effective connectivity measures differ at ages 6 and 8, but not 12. Inferior frontal gyrus and Occipito-temporal cortex are hubs to group differences. Delays in early phases of literacy development may be detrimental to outcome.
