Effect of repeated cycles of soil solarization and biosolarization on corky root, weeds and fruit yield in screen-house tomatoes under subtropical climate conditions in the Canary Islands
Repeated soil solarization was tested in tomato screen-house in the Canary Islands. Solarization results were improved by combining with biofumigation (biosolarization). This technique was effective to enhance tomato yield and control corky root and weeds. Solarization/biosolarization represents a feasible alternative to chemical fumigants.
