Night warming effects on coniferous trees in later growing season were investigated.

Root net influxes of NH4+ and NO3 in Picea asperata were increased by night warming.

Night warming has positive effect on foliar gas exchange as well as root morphology.

High leaf photosynthesis rate companied by high nutrient uptake capacity of root.
