Na2SiO3/Al2O3 composite coating on SS was successfully prepared by a simple dip-coating method. The high temperature oxidation inhibition and chloride-induced corrosion resistance of Na2SiO3/Al2O3 on SS was studied. Na2SiO3/Al2O3 composite coating on SS can significantly resist oxidation at temperatures up to 1050 °C. The chloride-induced corrosion resistance of the SS substrate was improved by Na2SiO3/Al2O3 coating.
