Kinetic hydrate inhibitors (KHIs) delayed propane hydrate dissociation compared to KHI-free solutions.
At KHI concentration of 0.02 wt %, a portion of hydrate dissociates at the equilibrium temperature as expected and the rest at higher temperatures.
Increasing PVCap (KHI) concentration from 0.02 to 0.5 wt % decreases the amount of hydrate dissociated at the equilibrium temperature and more dissociates at higher temperature.
At a concentration of AFP III and LuvicapBio of 0.2 wt % all the hydrate dissociates at a temperature above the equilibrium one.
The dissociation of hydrate at more than one temperature has implication in flow assurance process design.
