The starting process of hypersonic nozzle coupled with an inlet is simulated. A shock train structure appears in the nozzle at high initial backpressure. The inlet is local unstarted at high initial backpressure. No shock train structure appears in the nozzle at low initial backpressure. The inlet is started at low initial backpressure.
