文摘

Novel analgesics are needed to optimize burn analgesia.

Burn pain is a combination of inflammatory, neuropathic, and nociceptive pain.

No animal model incorporates the acute or chronic pain experienced by burn patients.

A need exists for burn-pain models that consider wound healing & systemic effects.
