Tetraiodothyroacetic acid (tetrac) is a ligand for αVβ3 integrin receptor. Conjugation of tetrac to polyethylenimine increases its gene transfer ability. Competitive inhibition of integrin receptor confirmed the receptor mediated delivery of the nanoparticles.
