Transient TF-DNA interactions dynamically regulate gene networks. Plant epigenomes can regulate transient TF-DNA interactions. Single time-point genomic analyses can miss transient or localized TF-DNA interactions. Detecting ‘hit-and-run’ transcriptional regulation genome-wide in planta reveals new insights into dynamic gene regulation.
