Physiochemical charge stabilization of silver nanoparticles and its antibacterial applications

Environmental standardization/stabilization in surface charges of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is important for biological systems to know about bio-nano-interfacial interactions. Chemically synthesized AgNPs garnered for analysis of physco-chemical charge stabilization in different pH (1–13) and ionic interferences (NaCl, Ca(NO3)2, Na2CO3 and NaNO3). Uniform sized, highly charged (zeta potential: −37.9 mV) AgNPs remains unaltered at high ionic interferences and shows antifungal activity against C. Albicans and S. Aureus.
