The influence of pile form, density, and size on the storage of poplar chips was studied.
The experimentation was performed considering small (35 m3) and medium (70 m3) piles.
Temperature and moisture content of piles were monitored for all storage period (4 months).
All piles showed similar final moisture contents (18%) and dry matter losses (10%).
Form, density, and size of piles do not interfere on biofuel quality.
