An integrated dual-mode microelectrode (IDMME) was developed for synchronous neurochemical and neuroelectrical recordings. No reciprocal interference between the two adjacent recording channels was observed during the concurrent recordings. The changes of neurochemical and neuroelectrical signals of rats' brains were recorded at a high spatiotemporal resolution.
