280 outpatients with various mental disorders seeking outpatient care were recruited. 43.6% of patients had moderate to high internalized stigma scores. There were no significant socio-demographic or clinical correlates relating to internalized stigma. A negative relationship between quality of life, self-esteem and general functioning and internalized stigma was observed.
