The protective role of flaxseed oil on CCl4 and γ-radiation induced brain injury was studied in rats

CCl4 and radiation induced brain injury proved by elevation in MDA, XO, iNOS, TNF-α, and IL-6 levels.

CCl4 caused depletion of antioxidant enzymes: SOD, CAT, GPx activities and GSH level.

Flaxseed oil exerts significant amelioration of the studied parameters.

Flaxseed oil has a neuroprotective effect against CCl4-induced brain injury in irradiated rats.
