The superconductivity survives in Hg0.3La0.7Ba2Ca3(Cu1−xAgx)4O10+δ, even at x = 0.50.
The irreversibility line (IL) exhibits thermal activated behaviour.
The flux pinning of Hg0.3La0.7Ba2Ca3(Cu0.95Ag0.5)4O10+δ is discussed and compared with that of low Ag content (0.10 ≤ x ≤ 0.30).
A crossover from a two- to a three-dimensional system is suggested at T/Tc = 0.75 and a magnetic field, Hdc = 0.04 T. Mitsuhita's formula is verified for the investigated compound.
Based on vortex glass phase transition theory, the effective pinning energy, ueff, was calculated.
