We study maximum simultaneous 2n  th-order Hong and Mandel's squeezing of the most general the Hermitian operator, issn=00304026&md5=97ba718de8fe46885ba343998d0b74ca" title="Click to view the MathML source">X_θ≡X₁cosθ+X₂sinθ$X_{\theta }\equiv X_1\cos \theta +X_2\sin \theta$, and nth-order sub-Poissonian photon statistics (connected with expectation value of 2n  th power of number fluctuation), in the most general superposition state, issn=00304026&md5=516dbd7f4155825dd408740c55370368" title="Click to view the MathML source">|ψ〉=Z₁|α〉+Z₂|β〉$\left|\psi \right.〉=Z_1\left|\alpha \right.〉+Z_2\left|\beta \right.〉$ of two coherent states issn=00304026&md5=37704d747f77555b1873b51a81e1d7b8" title="Click to view the MathML source">|α〉$\left|\alpha \right.〉$ and issn=00304026&md5=2da87ad17eed5595898092ed50ad0408" title="Click to view the MathML source">|β〉$\left|\beta \right.〉$. Here Hermitian operators X_1,2 are defined by X₁ + iX₂ = a, the annihilation operator, complex numbers Z_1,2, α, β are all arbitrary and the only restriction on these is the normalization condition of the state. We find a linear relationship between these two non-classical effects when the angle θ = arg(α + β  ) and issn=00304026&md5=0cc42085cdb1faead8fb4b70d58d9d23" title="Click to view the MathML source">|α+β|≫|α−β|$\left|\alpha +\beta \right|\gg \left|\alpha -\beta \right|$. We also illustrate analytically and numerically by an example that both effects occur simultaneously for high-intensity field but for observation of such effects, sensitive settings of the parameters are required.
