A new iterative workflow for improved arrival-time picking. Pilot trace computation using S/N and polarity weighted stacking. Exhaustive search for polarity estimation. Comparison of the proposed workflow with Akaike information criterion and a previously published cross-correlation method. Our workflow yields better results in the presence of signal variations (amplitude and polarity) within the receiver array.
