PCB 77 and PCB 153 have shown significant cytotoxicity in ovary cells, with slightly profound effect of planar PCB 77. Vitamin E has protective and congener specific effect on PCB-induced cytotoxicity and oxidative stress. Protective role of vitamin E is more effective when ovary cells were exposed to ortho-substituted PCB congener.
