Nanocomposites based on GDC nanorods/LNCO have been investigated for the first time. One dimensional nanorods provide longer grain boundaries area for interfacial conduction of the ions. Composition, 0.7GDC/0.3LNCO has higher conductivity than that of GDC nanoparticles/LNCO nanocomposites. It may be a potential candidate as a solid electrolyte for LT-SOFCs.
