PV-RO as an emerging desalination technology treating in-land brackish water Filmtech membrane filtration performance was better than Hydranautics membrane. FO is an effective pretreatment minimizing RO membrane cleaning frequencies. MgCl2 as draw solution performed better than NaCl due to its divalent structure.
