RISE-SSc is investigating riociguat for the treatment of dcSSc. RISE-SSc is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2 study. Animal models have shown antiproliferative and antifibrotic effects. Based on preclinical results, SSc patients may benefit from riociguat.
