Neem-synthesized Ag nanoparticles were studied by UV–vis, SEM, EDX, XRD and FTIR.
AgNP were mostly spherical in shape, crystalline in nature, with a size range of 35–60 nm.
AgNP acted as larvicides and pupicides against the malaria vector Anopheles stephensi.
In vitro, AgNP were toxic to chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum parasites.
In vivo, AgNP effectively inhibited the growth of Plasmodium berghei in albino mice.
