Phase field model and crystal plasticity theory are coupled in a multi-physics model. The plastic driving force for GB migration is explicitly included in the model. The model can qualitatively capture absorption of dislocations by mobile GBs. A FEM-JFNK approach is used to simultaneously solve all the PDEs for multi-physics.
