It is a new protocol to efficiently purify high-purity glycyrrhizin from licorice. A distinct separation selectivity of saponins and flavonoid compounds was obtained by the Click XIon material. The retention mechanism for glycyrrhizin in HILIC mode has been discussed. A HILIC-SPE method was developed for the enrichment of glycyrrhizin.
