Coals in Buertaohai-Tianjiashipan mining district belongs to high volatile bituminous. High Al, Li and Ga content in the studied coals and parting/roof/floor of coal seams Kaolinite, boehmite, calcite and svanbergite are main mineral constituents in coals. Li and Ga mainly occurs with kaolinite and svanbergite in the studied Jungar coals. Main origin of Li and Ga is the Yinshan Oldland and the Benxi Formation bauxite.
