Both dopamine D1 and D2 receptors were expressed in LHb. D1-like dopamine receptor dysfunction in the LHb increased anxiety-like behavior. D1-like dopamine receptor dysfunction in the LHb decreased depressive-like behavior. D1R activation and inactivation in LHb impaired aversive memory acquisition.
