Trigeminal neuralgia (TN) is a common cranial neuralgia characterized for its excruciating episodic pain. The effective pain control of TN with a low side effect profile, is challenging with the therapeutic options available. A patient suffering with TN responded dramatically to treatment with an homeopathic preparation of Hypericum perforatum. Hypericum perforatum is the popular remedy called St. John’s Wort. Hypericum perforatum may be a promising homeopathic therapeutic option for TN pain that deserves to be explored further.
