Optical constants from reflectance spectra of meteorite samples are retrieved. The method uses a genetic algorithm to perform the numeric inversion of Hapke models. Solutions that can fit samples with a broad range in particle diameter are found. The solutions found without a thorough sample characterization are not unique.
