Generation of new HSV-1 recombinant viruses expressing VP26 fluorescent protein fusions. New fluorescent colors include Cerulean, Venus, yellow fluorescent protein, mOrange, tdTomato, mCherry and mRFP. VP26-fusion with Dronpa3 produces photoswitchable fluorescence signal.
