Model as a Service (MaaS) concept and architecture is introduced to support geoscience modeling. MaaS enables various geoscience models to be published as services that can be accessed through a simple web interface. MaaS automates the processes of configuring machines, setting up and running models, and managing model outputs. MaaS provides new guidance for geoscientists seeking solutions to address the computing demands for geoscience models.
