160">Motivational enhancement therapy (MET), despite a clear efficacy and utility, is not widely used in clinical settings.
This paper reports on the largest MET Training Program of its kind, which has been conducted in the Department of Veterans Affairs since 2012 to present, training over 400 clinicians nationwide.
Eighty-one percent of training participants successfully completed all requirements of the training program in 2012–2013.
After completion of the training program, approximately 85% of the clinicians reported implementing MET often (either 1–3 times per week or daily).
There were significant increases in MI knowledge from pretraining assessment to post-workshop and from pretraining to post-consultations.
