The spatial dimensions of the environment influence the experience of restoration. The environment should have a balance between enclosed areas and open views. A natural and wild appearance of the forest with diverse vegetation is preferred. Memories and associations play an important role in restoration. The findings validate the PSDs most preferred for restoration.
