An Human Factors/Ergonomic study to understand why blood sampling performance varies. Adjustment in blood sampling practice is normal to accommodate local constraints and resources. The Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) provides a method to produce a realistic model of blood sampling. Resilience engineering should be considered to enhance the safety of blood sampling.
