文摘
Bioinformatic analyses found novel K+ channel genes altered by ethanol dependence. Analyses confirmed known genetic links between Kcnq, Kcnj, & Kcnn genes and alcohol. Pharmacological validation of Kcnq showed reduced alcohol drinking with retigabine. This study demonstrates the potential utility of the personalized medicine approach.
