In this letter we present a single-mode fiber gyroscope (FOG) with low long-term drift. Only single-mode fiber components except for three fiber depolarizers were used. A simplified mathematic model has been proposed to explain the bias stability of the gyro. Several open-loop and closed-loop FOGs with 0.1-0.5掳/h drift have been demonstrated.
