This is the first test to use movement through a physical environment toe test executive function. The WRIT is more reflective of daily activities than computer-based mouse and keyboard tests. Given its use of multi-directional responses the test is sensitive to older persons' movement decrements. The reliability of the WRIT is clearly established both between tests on the same day and between testing days.
