K2ZrSi2O7:Bi3+ gives bright and broad yellow emission (FWHM ∼ 125 nm). Only one type of Bi3+ luminescence center is proved to exist in K2ZrSi2O7:Bi3+. Possible application of K2ZrSi2O7:Bi3+ in white LED is suggested.
