Investigation of a proliferation molecule (Ki-67) as serum tumor marker. Secretion of Ki-67 from tumor cells was confirmed in cell culture. Healthy dogs have undetectable Ki-67 serum concentrations. Tumor bearings dogs have increased Ki-67 serum concentrations. The degree of malignancy has an influence on the Ki-67 serum concentration.
