A GIS-based public participation tool was applied to a watershed in Japan. The subjective values of ecosystem service bundles were assessed. Value perceptions were influenced by socioeconomic and environmental variables. Spatial heterogeneity in the distribution of the perceived values was explained in relation to landscape structures.
