The concept of projection kinematics is firstly proposed. Projection kinematics analyses of basic kinematic joints and linkages are presented. Algorithm of projection kinematics is developed. Projection kinematics is successfully applied to the analysis of 2D TEM image of real world DNA origami nanomechanisms.
