Cu(II) salen complex showed significant catalytic activity in preparation of C-X bonds. Cu(II) salen complex displayed considerable in vitro anticancer activity against MCF-7 cancer cell lines. Antimicrobial biofilm activity of Cu(II) salen complex was evaluated against P. aeruginosa. Cu(II) salen complex showed efficient DNA binding by absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic studies.
