Thioflavin T binding with molten globule and native states of αlactalbumin studied. Energetics of interactions determined. Fluorescence of Thioflavin T does not increase upon binding molten globule state. Complexation confirmed from calorimetry. Thioflavin T binding can be exploited to characterize intermediate states.
