A dynamic regression analysis tool for quantitative assessment of bacterial growth written in Python

A transparent, adaptable, and free regression analysis tool written in the Python programming language is presented. Common growth parameters are calculated, including lag time, growth rate, doubling time, and delta optical density. Heuristics are included to reduce the impact of noise data sets produced by plate readers. Validation with lactobacilli carbohydrate utilization data sets showed 94% success rate with no false positives detected.
