A low pressure blower is used for fluidization of alumina and river sands.

Three distributor designs are investigated: perforated and slotted (90° and 45°).

Particles exhibit pronounced mixing at 0.4 bed aspect ratio.

Early fluidization obtained in 45° inclined distributor at high bed aspect ratio.

The 45° inclined distributor enhanced the particulate mixing in a fluidized bed.
