Spin-assisted layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly stacked silica nanoparticles (NPs). The thickness of the stacked-NP layer was less than 100 nm. Dehydrating the LbL assembly formed dense and uniform stacked-NP layers. The stacked-NP layers worked as the active layer of ultrafiltration membranes.
