Higher day +30 monocyte and day +42 lymphocyte counts were independently associated with better overall survival after double umbilical cord blood reduced-intensity conditioning with total body irradiation, cyclophosphamide, and fludarabine allogeneic stem cell transplantation

These higher counts may confer better graft-versus-disease effect or better protection against infections.
