Quasi-unilateral and shear extensions are introduced to the uncoupled version of Lemaitre’s damage model as new fracture criteria.

Implications of the extensions in forming process simulation practice are underlined.

Closed form solutions are supplied for linear strain paths complemented with fracture surface plots in various spaces.

Validation studies are realized using various experimental results available in the literature.

Results are compared with those of various fracture criteria.
