A facile synthesis of mesoporous PdZnO nanocomposites as efficient chemical sensor

Mesoporous Pd/ZnO was synthesized via sol-gel with small particle sizes ∼ 2–5 nm.

The electrochemical detection of ethanol in aqueous solutions was conducted.

The sensitivity was found to be 33.08 μAcm−2 mM−1 with a limit of detection 19.2 μM.

The kinetics study revealed a mixed surface and diffusion-controlled processes.
